Therapy in Northwest Ohio & Online Across Ohio
Meet your compassionate therapist, committed to your emotional well-being and personal growth.
If you’re here, you may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to change. Before we begin working together, I want to share a bit about who I am and how I approach therapy.

Why I Became a Therapist
My path to becoming a counselor was shaped by my own experience with grief after the death of my mother.
What began as a deeply painful and disorienting time in my life gradually became something else—an opportunity for understanding, growth, and ultimately, purpose.
During that time, I was studying Human Development and Family Studies, and later Mental Health Counseling. I found myself learning about grief, emotional processes, and human behavior while actively living through them.
There was something powerful about that experience—sitting in a classroom, gaining language and insight for something that once felt impossible to make sense of.
In many ways, my education didn’t just prepare me for a career. It helped me learn how to heal.

What That Experience Taught Me
That period of my life shaped how I understand therapy today.
I learned that healing doesn’t come from avoiding discomfort—it comes from being willing to move through it, with the right kind of support.
I also became deeply aware of the balance between order and chaos that shows up in our lives.
Sometimes, the experiences that feel the most overwhelming can also become the turning point toward clarity and change.
A difficult conversation can create deeper connection.
A painful loss can reshape meaning and direction.
This doesn’t make those experiences easy—but it does make them meaningful.

My Approach to Therapy

Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you better understand yourself and respond to life in a way that feels more intentional, grounded, and aligned.
I work with adults navigating:
  • Anxiety and chronic stress
  • Depression and emotional overwhelm
  • Trauma and past experiences
  • Grief and loss
  • Relationship challenges
My approach is collaborative and individualized. Together, we:
  • Build awareness of patterns and responses
  • Develop practical tools for managing challenges
  • Strengthen your ability to navigate difficult emotions
  • Create sustainable, long-term change
I value consistency, depth, and creating a space where you can be honest without judgment.

What Makes My Approach Different
You won’t be passed between providers or treated as just another appointment.
When we work together, you’ll have:
  • A consistent, one-on-one therapeutic relationship
  • A thoughtful and intentional pace (not rushed or surface-level)
  • Space to explore both challenges and growth
  • Support that is tailored specifically to you—not a one-size-fits-all approach
This work is personal—and I treat it that way.

Therapy in Northwest Ohio & Online Across Ohio
I offer:
  • In-person therapy in Northwest Ohio, including the Toledo area, Maumee, and Perrysburg
  • Online therapy across Ohio, providing flexible access to care from anywhere in the state
Whether you prefer in-person sessions or telehealth, the goal is the same: to create a space where you can feel supported, understood, and able to move forward.

A Personal Commitment to the Work
To move through my own grief, I had to be willing to sit with discomfort and trust the process—even when it was hard.
That experience continues to shape how I show up as a therapist.
I don’t expect this process to feel easy all the time. But I do believe it can be meaningful—and that meaningful work leads to real change.
